Many times you will find that the cost of a travel nurse exceeds the cost of a permanent placement in just one or two assignments. Unfortunately, the billings for a travel nurses are lost once each assignment is completed. However, with a permanent placement the fees paid keep returning benefits back to the facility day after day.

Please note the calculations above are for estimation purposes only. Each faciity may be subject to different taxes and rates. The calculation assumes the following: payroll taxes are 7.65%, workers' compensation and uneployment are a combined 5%, and benefits are 15%.
